This week the weather has been particularly cold and wet so we have been entertaining ourselves around the house. On Tuesday we found ourselves in the library where I lit a nice fire and bought in tray of our usual treats. As the light began to fade, little Robin spotted a beautiful old writing slope on one of the many shelves. We dusted it off and opened it to find a lovely old ink bottle, a pen with several nibs and to our delight, tucked away in a hidden compartment, a picture of a little cottage along with a map into the wildwoods where it is apparently located...There is even a key! Quentin is excited to see if we can find it once the weather improves.
